1. News feed editing
There are groups and people whose posts you would like to see above all others, but there are also the ones that you wouldn’t like to see at all. In this case, there is a function which allows you to prioritize news and unfollow particular users by hiding their posts in the news feed.
2. Creating interest list and friend list
“Friend lists” option allows you to organize your friends into lists like “Family” or “Job” thus creating separate news feeds.
With the help of “Interests” option, you can assemble pages by their topics into one news feed, even if you don’t follow those pages.
3. Notes
To make a big publication more noticeable, you may use “Notes”. It is a special kind of posts which will allow your publication to stand out, thanks to its size. It also has a wider range of formatting options.
4. Saving Links
If you stumbled into an interesting post, but don’t have time to read it or to watch a video, you can use a “Save link”/”Save video” option.
5. Saving all your profile data to a hard drive
In case of you changing or deleting your account, there is an option to download all the necessary information about your profile – from photos to chats.
6. Using additional security settings
You can protect your private information with double authentication; when someone logs in to your account from an unrecognised device, you would receive a message on your phone with an approval code.
“Your trusted contacts” option allows you to choose contacts who, if your account is hacked or you forgot your password, can help you regain access to your account with the help of special codes.
7. Your account Legacy Contact
Facebook allows you to choose a Legacy Contact – a person who will be able to delete your account or manage it properly after your death. You must admit that it is rather disturbing that Facebook considers this possibility before us.
8. “Invisibility” option
This function helps you to go offline to all your contacts or some of them on your chat box.
